Newcomers of Central Florida, Inc. has a long and distinguished history in this area dating back to early links to Welcome Wagon and Maitland Newcomers.  In 2011, members Nancy Jaeger and Georgeann Clemons did some extensive research and put together a comprehensive history of the club which was compiled in a handout distributed at the club's 20th anniversary celebration luncheon.  If you want to see how the club has changed and grown over the years as a women's social club with a strong community outreach arm,  check out this wonderful in-depth article from 2011.

Newcomers of Central Florida, Inc. is an organization for women that offers friendship, social activities, and helpful information to new and long-time residents in the area. Monthly meetings are held at various country clubs, hotels and restaurants with programs ranging from a fashion show in the spring to entertaining and informative speakers. Luncheons are held on the third Thursday of every month, except in December, when they are held on the second Thursday of the month. Special social functions throughout the year are planned for members and guests. Along with our social activities, our outreach committee guides our selection of various local charities which benefit each year from our fundraising projects.
